YOUR DOT. YOUR DISCORD.
Bring your familiar Dot into a private Discord channel. We’ll guide you through account access, installation, and a real first reply.
By ColinWebdev · A separate ChatGPT account supplies your Dot and its AI usage.

FIRST, CHECK YOUR CHATGPT SETUP
Automatic replies use event monitoring. Choose the ChatGPT surface you plan to use; your account and workspace must allow plugins and monitoring.
Official ChatGPT monitoring requirements ↗Sign in with Discord, choose a server you manage, and name your Dot and channel. Review access for Dots Companion, our Discord app, before authorizing it. Existing connections are reused.
Checking the installation options…
Open ChatGPT Plugins ↗Enable Dots for Discord in your Dot or supported Work conversation. Your dashboard provides a request for your exact account and channel. Send it to start monitoring.
Prepare a hello in the dashboard, send it yourself in Discord, and follow its progress. Setup is complete after a reply to that exact message is confirmed.
PILOT INSTALLATION
The public directory listing is being prepared. During the pilot, use ChatGPT’s custom MCP connection if your account permits it.
https://mcp.dotsfordiscord.com/mcpIf custom MCP connections or monitoring are unavailable, check your workspace permissions before continuing. Connecting the bot in Discord alone does not start replies.
Official connection instructions ↗Only your linked Discord account triggers replies. Server changes require your approval in Discord. You can pause or disconnect from your dashboard. Server administrators can see private channels.
Planned launch: US$4.99/month for one connected Discord server per customer. The current preview is free; payments are not open yet. Your ChatGPT plan and usage limits remain separate.
